In the early 1940's, Finlay Brothers built a new office and showroom complex on the corner of Elizabeth Street and Little Londsdale Street, Melbourne. The building would become a well known landmark within the motorcycle trading precinct of the area.

The lavish architecture must have signified a sense of optimism in the company's future, and this is of particular importance in the context of the then recent 1930's economic depression and the ongoing impact of World War II.
